"TRUE REPRESENTATION FOR THE GOOD PEOPLE OF EVANS AND MARTINEZ"
"No amount of ability is of the slightest avail without honor."
Andrew Carnegie

Lee was born on March 17, 1968 in Newburgh, NY to Lee and Joan Benedict. He grew up in and around the Cornwall/Newburgh area which is 15 minutes from the US Military Academy at West Point and located in the scenic Hudson Valley Region.
In 1984 (the good old days), Lee became interested in politics and in 1987 was elected as New York State's Executive Secretary of Conservative Students Alliance, which is no more. From there, he spent an inordinate amount of time writing letters to the editor of his local paper in an attempt to advance the conservative message of numerous issues often overlooked by New York's elitist liberal media, and, campaigning for conservative Republican candidates. Lee's political resume includes:
1987/1988 - NY State Executive Secretary for Conservative Students Alliance
1994/1995 - Vice President, Orange County (NY) Young Republicans
1994 - Orange County Committee to Elect Pataki; in the 1994 gubernatorial election, then-Senator Pataki defeated 3-term ultra-liberal Democrat, Mario Cuomo. Mr. Pataki received 67% of the Orange County vote...2nd only to the 70% he received from his home county.
1995/1996 - Administrative Intern for NY State Assemblywoman, Nancy Calhoun
1995 - Legislative Intern for the US Senate's Republican Policy Committee.
From 1996 to 2004, Lee was in the military and therefore had to limit his political activity to basically displaying bumper stickers.
Currently Lee teaches biology and physical science at George P. Butler Comprehensive High School in Augusta
